Star Trek: Exploring New Worlds
Discover the beloved series all over again in this fully immersive exhibit, featuring more than 100 artifacts and props from the five Star Trek television series, spin-offs, and films, including set pieces from the original series like Captain Kirk’s command chair and the navigation console (on display for the first time to the public); Kirk, Spock, Uhura, and McCoy original series costumes; and the 6-foot U.S.S. Enterprise filming model from Star Trek: The Next Generation.
The Art of Rube Goldberg
From iconic board games like Mouse Trap to thrilling music videos such as OK Go’s “This Too Shall Pass,” Goldberg has influenced some of the most indelible moments in pop culture. His name is so synonymous with his creations that it was added to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary as an adjective that describes the act of complicating a simple task. The tireless creator is thought to have drawn 50,000 cartoons over his long career.
Nirvana: Taking Punk To The Masses

Inspired by music and pop culture , MoPOP houses 9 exhibits currently including members Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic), the exhibit introduces the world's most extensive exhibition of memorabilia celebrating the music and history of Seattle grunge luminaries, Nirvana. Three interactive kiosks allow visitors to access a plethora of topics that range from the macroscopic (different national music scenes), to the microscopic (specific clubs, bands, and events).
.....and many more! Through education, exhibitions,collections and interactive technologies MoPOP brings interpretation, understanding and scholarship to audiences that are multigenerational .
You can also enjoy some food while visiting . At the CULTURE KITCHEN by Wolfgang Puck the menu consists of fresh grab and go sandwiches and salads, soups , a kids menu and a bar .

Daybreak Star Indian Cultural Center
This museum is located right next to Discovery Park on Magnolia Hill . Their mission is to reconnect indigenous people in the Puget Sound area to their heritage. This is done through educational, cultural and social services. These programs provide and sense of belonging and show them the significance of Native people. They have exhibits that change throughout the year in which can be found in the Sacred Circle Gallery.
Local and internationally recognized artists are featured in the Sacred Circle Gallery .
Recently featured was
Tracy Rector and Mel Ponder set out to document the beautiful diversity of Urban Natives through portrait, sound, video and story. The project has come full circle and premiered on October 10th on Indigenous Peoples Day Celebration 2016 in partnership with Daybreak Star’s Sacred Circle Gallery!

This museum highlights and embraces the history, arts and cultures of African descent. By preserving connections between the Pacific Northwest and people of African descent the NAAM is able to enrich all visitors with art that depicts significant eras and celebrate black experiences in America.

Dance Theater Of Harlem : Forty Years Of Firsts
An exhibition that highlights the many accomplishments of African Americans and other minorities who dared to overcome social norms and prejudices to pursue their passion and pave the way for future generations of world class dancers. The exhibit is organized by Dance Theatre of Harlem, California African American Museum, and The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts, and toured by International Arts & Artists, Washington D.C., Dance Theatre of Harlem
An Elegant Utility
Explores the creation of place, identity and the Northwest African American community that has historically characterized Seattle’s Central District neighborhood. Featuring a collection of artifacts, including photographs, utilitarian house hold belongings, and legal ledgers, An Elegant Utility examines how the personal history of artist Inye Wokoma’s familial lineage, the Green family, serves as an entry point through which the larger story of African-Americans in Seattle, is reflected
Artist Studio: Drawing Attention Outside the Lines
The Harmon and Harriet Kelley Collection of African American Art: Works on Paper, a representation of legendary artists that span span three centuries recently on view at NAAM, inspires this exhibition. Over twelve sessions, Youth Curators received instruction to develop their artistic skill and through the process formed a deeper regard for African American artists. As Youth Curators challenged their creativity, they experienced the limitless potential for experimenting outside of self-imposed boundaries to express art through their own lens.

Terratopia: The Chinese Landscape In painting And Film
This exhibition juxtaposes classical Chinese works with a modern classic by filmmaker Yang Fudong to demonstrate landscape as an enduring subject of artistic, philosophical, and environmental reflection from the 3rd to the 21st century.
Awakened Ones: Buddhas of Asia
Experience 20 works and artifacts from SAM's collection depicting Buddhas from across Asia, including Japan, China, India, Korea, Nepal, and Pakistan. Sculptures and paintings spanning nearly 13 centuries will be on view.
Ai WeiWei: Colored Vases
Ai Weiwei is one of China’s most acclaimed contemporary artists and outspoken dissidents. Working in various mediums, from installations and photography to interactive internet programs, Ai uses his work to call attention to critical social issues.
